Where is Shotokai practiced in Chile?
As something unusual Shotokai Karate Budo in Chile is centered around Concepcion and not Santiago, the capital of the country. But this is no surprise when you consider that Humberto Heyden Sensei (teacher) was born in this city and started his practice in this region.
Shotokai is also practiced at the University of Concepcion, in the Gymnasiums (3 of the five that the University has). Shotokai students practice also in the football field of the University.
There is another Shotokai group at the Biobio University, Concepción.
Other places at a national level include: Santiago, Chiloe, Puerto Montt, Viña del Mar, Los Angeles (Chile), Laja, Angol, Curico, among others.
S.K.B.'s Hombu Dojo in Chile is in Concepcion, Serrano 166, close to the center of town. It has two separate practice floors and includes the administrative and office installations.
